How Stuff Works has a great guide to Cthulhu and the Cthulhu Mythos

I find it amusing that a Discovery Channel company like How Stuff Works is taking on H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, but damn if they didn't do a fine job with it. In fact, they did such a good job that it's a little overwhelming, with 7 pages devoted to topics like "Who is Cthulhu?" and "The Real Cult of Cthulhu."

It's definitely worth a read though in my opinion they take some unfair shots at Cthulhu-dom, like a minor slam of The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society's "The Call of Cthulhu" film. They also explain how to pronounce "Cthulhu" but they give up on "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" when there is s perfectly good video that explains how to say it.
