A "visual novel" of erotic mecha inspired by Cthulhu

The Japanese seem to have a love for the Cthulhu Mythos like no other people, which of course means they like combining mecha and erotica with tentacles (who doesn't really?). Here's the description for one such epic now available on American shores, Deus Machina Demonbane:
We're of course very happy to have this amazing eroge from the legendary Nitroplus finally shipping to our customers -- thanks for your patience while we got the game ready!

The Cthulhu mythos-inspired, giant robot-powered Deus Machina Demonbane is one of the most influential visual novels of the decade, inspiring multiple sequels, novels, and a TV anime. A cult classic that helped put game maker Nitroplus on the forefront of Japan's entertainment scene, JAST USA is proud to bring this great game to the eyes of the English speaking world for the first time. Story by Jin Haganeya and published by Nitroplus (the company behind Madoka Magika).

It's the story of Kurou, an Arkham City detective who's down on his luck. His world gets turned upside down when he receives the commission of a lifetime: find the mysterious book of spells that will power Demonbane, a weapon that's the city's best hope in the fight against the evil Black Lodge -- a syndicate that terrorizes the city with acts of violence and destruction. On the way Kurou meets the mysterious girl Al, shelters with the benevolent nun Leica, and matches wits with the city's heir and protector, Hadou Ruri. Only you can guide Kurou to the heart of the labyrinthine plot behind Black Lodge and save Arkham city from destruction.
